This project involved redesigning a reusable packaging box, known as Re-Pax, specifically tailored for the plant industry. Conducted as part of the Advanced Embodiment Design course in collaboration with Click-Pax, the project aimed to enhance the box's functionality, sustainability, and usability. The team focused on improving various aspects, such as the folding mechanism, grips, chip casing, product experience, and closing mechanism, through iterative design sprints.
The redesigned box was validated with e-Flora, a flower and plant fulfillment company. Despite its success in terms of usability and user experience, certain areas, such as box stability and integration of IoT features, require further refinement. The project successfully demonstrated the potential of the Re-Pax box as a sustainable packaging solution, combining reusability with a smart tracking system to reduce environmental impact and improve logistics in the plant industry.
